In the small village where I live, there is a clear spring halfway up the mountain. The spring water is sweet and clear, and the fish, shrimp and sand are clearly visible. The water flows to the foot of the mountain, forming a puddle, where children often play. A flat stone has magic power in the hand. The moment the body squatted down, the stone drew a beautiful arc in the air, fell to the water, and then bounced, fell, bounced, fell again, splashed Countless small water splashes created a meandering wave mark.
Since then, I have become interested in the strangely shaped and uniquely styled rocks in the mountains. Every time I climb a mountain and face the water, I can't help but bend over and arch my back to search for it and put it in my pocket. Some of the stones that I have chosen are smooth and round, like a cobblestone; some are ravines that look like mountains; Bonsai. In fact, what it looks like, whether it is good or not, depends on the beauty of the person who picks up the stone. Every time a brilliant stone is picked up, it is like a treasure and cannot be put down.
I once was on the top of a pine tree beam, and I came across two nearly diamond-shaped stones with traces of plants printed on them. This is a rare opportunity! Although I still don't know whether it is a real plant fossil, I don't want to find someone to identify it. I always feel that there is no need to be true to everything in this world, as long as you like it, it will be fine.
Another time, a stone was found on a barren hill with grooves of different depths, which was just right for planting succulents or bamboo. My friends and I took turns carrying them back and forth, looking forward to the flowers blooming on the stone as we walked. When approaching the bottom of the mountain, in order to lighten the burden, a friend threw the stone down a cliff, thinking that he could pick it up from below. Unexpectedly, with a "bang", it hit another stone under the mountain, and our beloved object instantly shattered into several pieces and collapsed in all directions. Almost at the same time, we couldn't help but laugh back and forth. Come to think of it, this is also God's will, this stone seems to be destined to exist in another attitude.
I think that every stone has life. Perhaps, when the world was first opened, when there was no life on the earth, the stone was born. It is said that the stone was originally hidden in the core of the earth, and the hot magma formed by the pressure was surging in the depths of the earth. One day, it broke through the crustal barrier of several kilometers and sprayed out. After encountering the low temperature on the surface, it solidified at once, gradually became cold and hardened, and formed stones on the surface. Hundreds of millions of years of trials and hardships have created its tenacity.
I put the stones I picked up into flower pots, put them into a fish tank, put them on a bookcase, and hide them in a brocade box. Staring at them can often return to the carefree childhood, and the thoughts will be wild. Thinking about it, a certain stone in front of you may be a piece left by Nu Wa to mend the sky, or maybe a piece of Sun Monkey who was born and splashed. It turns out that there is never a shortage of beautiful things and wonderful feelings in this world. Or, every stone picker will face a stone like me, and will have the spirituality of mountains and rivers.
