Through the black forest

When it comes to the Black Forest in Europe, I mainly mention two places. One is the Boulogne Forest, which covers an area of 8.5 square kilometers between the old district of Paris and the new district of La Défense, France. Here and the nearly 10-square-kilometer Vincent Forest in the east of Paris is the only remaining part of the forest around Paris. Paris is surrounded by such a forest, it is indeed God's blessing to Paris!

Another place in Europe called the Black Forest is located in the southwest corner of Germany and borders France and Switzerland in Baden-Württemberg. The plateau is about 160 kilometers long from north to south and 40 kilometers wide from east to west. The total area of forests and mountains is about 6,000 square kilometers. There are towering fir trees everywhere, and when you see this dense forest from a high place, it looks like an endless black screen.

Germany's Black Forest is a favorite of the nearby countries and a world-renowned tourist destination. There is fresh air there; there are lakes that can be directly drunk; there are hot springs that can cure diseases; there are many beautiful towns; it is also the hometown of the famous German writer Hesse; there are also many industries that are increasingly rare. ; glass blowing, organ making, ironing and tanning, and the handcrafted and painted fir cuckoo clock is world famous; also produces famous delicacies: black forest cherry cake, black forest ham. It has become a holiday resort for Germans to spend summer and summer vacations! As people who spend all day with cement buildings in the city, who wouldn’t want to experience the fun of returning to nature in nature?

It’s understandable, we go there. Easy.

  But here comes the opportunity.

Several of the countries we visited in Europe in 2004 were on the edge of the Black Forest. Although those attractions have not been visited, we have the opportunity to stay in cities near the Black Forest and travel through the Black Forest by car, so, after all, we still feel the charming charm and intoxicating atmosphere of the vast dark forest!

  Overnight stay Freiburg

The small German town of Freiburg is a small city close to the southwest of the Black Forest. From here on the road, it is time to enter the vast black forest. According to reports, the city was founded by Duke Bertold in the 12th century. Since 1388, Freiburg has fallen to the Habsburg dynasty of Austria. Since then, the air of urban freedom has thinned, but the planning of the city has been strengthened, which makes the small town of Freiburg as a whole embodies a kind of elegance. style of. In May 1770, Princess Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI of France got married and set off from Freiburg to France, and at the same time assigned the small town to Strasbourg, France.

In 1457, the University of Freiburg was established here, and it has become a gathering place for talents. In 2004, Germany's most influential "Focus" magazine selected Germany's top universities, and the University of Freiburg was ranked third. Heidegger, a famous German philosopher who had an important influence on the development of philosophy in the post-war world, studied and taught here from 1909 until his retirement in 1959. He taught at this university for half a century. A small wooden hut was built in a place called Todtnauburg in the forest as his own writing room. This isolated wooden house is the testimony of Heidegger's later period of being far away from the hustle and bustle and thinking about life peacefully.

In addition, Germany implemented a social market economy after World War II. The theoretical provider of this economic system reform, the Freiburg School, was born at the University of Freiburg. This school is based on Adam. Smith advocated laissez-faire, and Keynes advocated that between state intervention, the state should intervene as little as possible and only give necessary intervention. It is precisely because of Germany's implementation of this policy that Germany has risen rapidly from the ashes of the post-war era.

In the early morning, as we strolled through the small town, another beautiful image of an ancient European city appeared in front of us: the city was full of gravel-paved Shiyong Road, and in the middle of the road were four tram tracks, which converged into a focal point in the distance along the extension of the street. . In the cloudy morning haze, the light and shadow of the headlights shone on the road, and two small yellow halos appeared on the road, like the fine spots of moonlight falling on the water. Passing through two small passages with peeling walls and only one person can pass through, we suddenly see the light of the cathedral with two towers built in the 12th century. In front of the church is a small market selling vegetables and flowers. It is unforgettable that the flowers and vegetables on all the stalls are clean and tidy and colorful like works of art. This city has no walls or castles. Unlike other European ancient cities, there are two tower-shaped gates with different styles at both ends of the city. If it weren't for the occasional cars and trams on the road, we felt like we were back in a small medieval European town. It's so quiet here, there's no screeching noise even when cars pass by, just the rustling of tires rubbing against the road; the people are so friendly, whether we're walking down the street or in the small market, people are Smile to us kindly. It is no wonder that the people of Heidegger and the Freiburg school have carried out such profound and serious thinking about the fate of mankind here. This quiet town is indeed conducive to people's contemplation.

Crossing the Black Forest After a short stop

in Freiburg, we set off by car for Austria.

Soon after driving on the highway, the black forest appeared in front of us! At this time, the road was full of mountains on both sides, and the car passed through the valley. There are no houses or people on the hillsides on both sides, all of which are densely covered with trees. There are very few black and green fir trees on the mountain, one after another are broad-leaved trees. At this time, it is late autumn, and the leaves that have been hit by the frost are colorful, with dazzling red; some translucent golden yellow; some bright apricot yellow. Some of these trees are red; some are yellow, and some are dark green mixed with a few fir trees in a bright yellow! All of these seem to be deliberately showing you the colorful life. As the road gradually rises, the color of the trees gradually becomes monotonous. Looking from top to bottom, it is like an endless black screen, this is the downright black forest!

This forest is intoxicating, and the authentic German food in this dense forest also makes us appetite. It's time to eat, the older members of the group are still looking for a place to eat Chinese food. We suggest that since you are abroad, you should still taste the local flavors! At a rest stop on a highway, we found some German truck drivers eating in a small restaurant. Some of the food in front of them was a large pork knuckle; some were stewed beef, completely different from Western food is often eaten all over Germany, and restaurants are full of tempting meat flavors. Because it is not Western food, everyone quickly agreed, and lunch was settled here. Soon, these two dishes were served according to the gourd painting. The taste is very close; the beef is a bowl the size of a bowl, and it is also overcooked, with a small bowl of noodles next to it, which is beef noodles. Only later did we find out that these two are authentic German meals. The Germans call the elbow stew "Spice Hackson"; the beef with noodles is called "Gulasch".

Looking at Lake Constance in the distance After

lunch , we set off again. The car reached a high point and started to slide down the mountain. At this time, the trees on both sides of the road began to become sparse, and there were more towns and villages along the road. Suddenly, a sparkling open water appeared in the distance on the right side of the car. The driver told us that there was another tourist resort in Germany: Lake Constance. The beauty of Lake Constance is well known to Germans, but to the world, it seems like a virgin hidden in a boudoir, and not many people know it. However, on July 1, 2002, a world-shattering event made Lake Constance famous all over the world.

That night, two large U.S. and Russian planes collided over the Lake Constance region, killing a total of 71 people. The crashed Tu-154 aircraft belonged to Russia's Bashkir Airlines. There were 12 crew members and 57 passengers on board, 52 of whom were children. Children on the plane, from the Bashkir Autonomous Republic in Russia's Urals region, are heading to Barcelona, Spain, for a summer camp hosted by UNESCO. It is said that the children come from the same school, and they are all good at singing and dancing.

Good and talented students, who were rewarded for their excellent results in their final exams, went to this event at the United Nations. As the June 30 flight failed to catch up, they switched to a charter flight. The charter plane took off from Moscow, made a short stop in Munich on the way, and then flew to Barcelona, Spain; the Boeing-757 cargo plane that collided with it belonged to the American company DHL, took off from Bahrain, passed through Bergamo, Italy, and then flew to Brussels, the capital of Belgium. At the time of the incident, the two planes were flying at an altitude of about 12,000 meters, and the huge fireball formed after the collision illuminated the night sky. Subsequently, two planes crashed near the city of Sigmalingen, and the burning wreckage of the plane was scattered within a 32-kilometer radius around the city of Sigmaringen, igniting houses, schools and farms on the ground.

The driver told us that according to the newspaper reports at the time, when the two planes entered the air traffic control area of the Zurich Airport Command Center in Switzerland, because the navigation system of the airport command center was being overhauled, the alarm system was not working properly and could not send out signals. In addition, there were 2 controllers on duty late at night on the 1st, but one of them was resting when the accident occurred. Official regulations clearly state that whenever the collision avoidance warning system fails to function properly, two controllers must be present. Because of this kind of irregularity, the command center discovered that the Tu-154 passenger plane was flying at the same altitude as the Boeing 757 freighter 5 minutes after the two planes flew into the Swiss control area. The duty officer only requested the Tu-154 passenger plane 50 seconds before the collision. Reduce flight altitude to avoid collision with Boeing 757 freighter. At this time, the automatic early warning system of the Tu-154 aircraft instructed the aircraft to rise, and the Russian pilot believed that the ground personnel's instructions should prevail, so the aircraft descended; while the automatic early warning system installed on the Boeing 757 freighter found obstacles on the route and reminded the pilots The altitude was lowered, and the planes descended, so the two planes collided while descending rapidly at the same time. Afterwards, the Russian side accused the Swiss commander of discovering that the two planes were flying at the same altitude 10 minutes before the collision, but issued a warning to the Tu-154 only 50 seconds before the collision, instead of issuing any warning to the Boeing plane. Information, it is because of the negligence of the Swiss ground air traffic control center that the air crash was caused!

At this time, the Black Forest area has long since recovered its original tranquility?

Traveling through the Black Forest allows us to appreciate the unique charm of the Black Forest. The tragedy that happened over the Black Forest, and those intelligent children who lost their lives for no reason, also made us feel the power of life. Impermanence!

Grasp the impermanent life and be kind to the nature that human beings depend on for survival. This is how I feel when I travel through the Black Forest!
