Build up a little bit of a jump advantage each time, and it won't take you too many times to find that what was so far away is now right in front of you.
Everyone has an opportunity to move up, but what people think of as "opportunity" may be some kind of scenariospecific skill, which is what people want to spy on most, thinking that they can learn a move and beat others at the critical point. Many people call this kind of thing "dry goods". In fact, this kind of specific small "skill" is just like the end game in chess, only when the scene is just right can it be applied. If the scene is not exactly the same, the chess should be lost, so it seems to learn a lot, but in fact, it does not help a person's chess ability to increase.
As a whole, the upward trend must be a long-term thing, as long as the thinking is adjusted to the right direction, do the right thing for a long time, the whole trend of life will be steadily upward.
But the long-term rewards come in small increments, so are there shortcuts that most people can use? There has to be. Once you know how to use the right thinking base, I'm going to share a shortcut that many of you need: skip repeatedly.
Many people have been parents and teachers since childhood education, to be steadfast in a place to work hard, from the soldier to the monitor, from the monitor to the platoon commander, from the platoon commander to the company commander, from the company commander to the battalion commander...... All the way up, depends on ability, depends on hard work, depends on luck, the rest depends on fate. But have you noticed that a lot of celebrities who are specially recruited go on to very high ranks in the military?
You start with a stall and hope that one day your business will grow. That's one way. But have you found that if you're a star or an artist or even just a local celebrity, you don't need to know a business to get to know a super-successful entrepreneur and be deeply involved in some of his projects?
We all know some friends in our daily life, some are more successful than us, some are less successful than us. Those who are more successful than we are may well be more successful than our leaders at work, but they want to be our friends, while our leaders at work do not necessarily see us as their equal.
The reason is simple. It's easy to make a vertical comparison. In his eyes, I'm your boss, which means I'm superior to you. But horizontal comparisons are hard. Do you think the director of a police station is more powerful, or the owner of a chain enterprise with 28 stores is more socially powerful?
If I owned a chain business, I could associate equally with the boss of a large company. But without the boss as a reference, an executive in the big company could have met me on equal terms, but it would have been difficult for the boss and the executive to meet each other on equal terms, because there was a gap of several ranks.
So have you discovered any secrets? Your upside plan can sometimes be accomplished by taking advantage of the fact that it is difficult to compare fields horizontally.
For example, there is a person who works as a supervisor in a large Internet company. When he wants to be promoted directly to a higher level, it is often difficult. A smaller company is missing a director in that area. Do you think the director of the big Internet company is more senior, or the director of the smaller company is more senior? You can't make a lateral comparison. You can't even get promoted if you jump over it.
When you make achievements in that director position, the position of vice president of another big Internet company may be beckoning to you, it is still a jump, there is no one more senior than who. Within the company or at the same level, it's easy to tell if you're moving up or down, but when you're moving sideways, a lot of things blur and there's room for easy progress.
If you feel that a certain path is not the one you want to go down, but it's one where you can move up a little bit more easily and compare it to the original path when it comes to your achievements, take the first step and wait a little bit longer to start looking for opportunities to jump. Build up a little bit of a jump advantage each time, and it won't take you too many times to find that what was so far away is now right in front of you.
